Tesla Motors has downloaded “over the air” new software into its vehicles that will allow replenishing batteries for free during an epidemic

Tesla Motors has provided its Chinese customers with the opportunity to use all branded Supercharger charging stations for free in connection with the epidemic of the new coronavirus. It is reported by TeslaRati.

The Americans notified the owners of electric cars that all cars “over the air” will be loaded with special software that will allow you to replenish the battery supply for free until the epidemic subsides. The company noted that they wanted to make “at least a minimal contribution” to the current situation.

This is not the first time that Tesla has announced such promotions. So, in August last year, the electric car manufacturer provided free energy in the state of Florida, which hit the tropical storm Dorian.

Earlier it became known that the PSA Group (Peugeot and Citroen) will remove all its business personnel from enterprises from the Chinese city of Wuhan and its environs in connection with an outbreak of a disease caused by a new coronavirus.

Departure of employees will take place with the assistance of the authorities of the PRC and the local French consulate. At the same time, while waiting for departure, PSA workers and their relatives will be quarantined in Changsha.

A new coronavirus was discovered in the Chinese city of Wuhan, Hubei Province in mid-December 2019. At the moment, about 4 thousand are infected and more than 100 dead. On January 22, 2020, quarantine was introduced in Wuhan and neighboring cities – the authorities, in particular, stopped public transport, and also closed the city for entry and exit.
