March 3, 2019Tesla will close most of its retail stores in the near future and focus on online sales.
The American company Tesla has decided to completely switch to online sales. Due to this, the automaker intends to reduce the price of the Model 3 electric car to 35 thousand dollars. However, most Tesla retail stores will be closed soon. This is stated in the official report of the automaker.
“It is important for US customers to understand that, thanks to online sales, anyone in any state can quickly and easily buy a Tesla electric car,” explained the company.
Also, Tesla decided to change the return system of electric cars. Now it can be done within seven days after purchase. In this case, the mileage of the car should be no more than 1 thousand miles (1609 kilometers).
“In fact, you can buy a Tesla electric car, drive a few hundred miles on the weekend with friends, and then return it for free,” – said in a statement.
Tesla Motors, focused on the production of electric vehicles, was founded in 2003. Since 2008, it has been supplying the Tesla Roadster sports car to the market. In 2012, the company introduced the Model S sedan. The manufacturer’s headquarters is in Palo Alto, California. The company has more than two thousand people.
In 2019, Tesla Motors should present a prototype of a compact Model Y crossover, and also show the precursor of an electric pickup. In this case, the serial versions of these cars will appear no earlier than 2020.
