Independent designers have developed renderings of the second generation Tesla Roadster.
We currently live in an era where electric sedans produce over 1,000 hp and electric hypercars produce almost 2,000 hp. Of the upcoming hypercars in development, the second generation Tesla Roadster is arguably the most anticipated.
It has been nearly three years since the Roadster was introduced as a functional prototype, and while it has yet to go into series production, it promises to offer exceptional performance for $ 20,000, while its competitors demand 10 times more.
Tesla CEO Elon Musk has previously confirmed that the Roadster will be available with the SpaceX Package, which includes cooled engines. While this will likely prove to be the flagship variant of the model, Hakosan Design decided to envision what a potential variant of the upcoming track Tesla might look like.
The first thing that catches your eye about this roadster, known simply as the Tesla LM, is that it is significantly wider than the standard car. The model has very massive wheel arches, which house the racing tires.
Many aerodynamic changes have also been made. For example, there is a front splitter and a large grille through which air is expelled through a vent in the hood. The rear of the Tesla LM is also unusually bold, with a towering fender and a massive diffuser that helps keep the car on the pavement.
