Tesla introduces Cybertruck pickupNovember 22, 2019
Elon Musk brought his long-awaited all-electric pickup to a Los Angeles auto show.
With the Ford F-150 serving as America’s top-selling car and electric competitors such as Bollinger and Rivian entering the segment, Tesla is clearly looking to take its position in the revenue segment of pickups. The first Tesla electric pickup truck is endowed with a design radically different from any other proposal from the manufacturer of electric cars, and indeed from what the most daring designers drew. This is something futuristic and the car will be clearly recognizable on the roads.
In total, 3 modifications of the Tesla Cybertruck pickup are offered – with one engine and rear-wheel drive, with two engines and four-wheel drive, and with three electric motors. Tesla Cybertruck received a six-seater layout of the cabin, capable of towing up to 300 thousand pounds, while it has a range from 640 to 800 km.
The most affordable version will cost $ 39,900. The top three-engine version, the production of which will begin no earlier than 2022, is proposed to order for 69,900 US dollars. By the way, you can already pre-order the model, making only $ 100. Serial production of Tesla Cybertruck starts at the end of 2021.
It is stated that the power reserve of the electric car is at least 400 km on a single charge, depending on the type of battery installed. The towing capacity of the pickup truck is 3.4 tons, and acceleration to 100 km / h takes less than 6.5 seconds.
