Tesla increased production of electric cars but failed the planJanuary 4, 2018
The American manufacturer of electric cars, despite all efforts, could not significantly increase the volume of production of mass electric cars Model 3.
According to the news portal Cnet, following the results of the fourth quarter of 2017, Tesla supplied its customers with 29,870 electric cars, which is 27% higher than the figures for the same period last year. However, production growth compared with the third quarter is not impressive: production increased by 9%.
Of the nearly 30,000 cars produced, 15,200 made up the luxury Model S sedan cars, 13,100 Model X crossovers, and only 1,550 of the Model 3 mass sedans. Thus, the most budgetary models of the brand accounted for only 5% of all deliveries.
It is noteworthy that only 2,520 electric cars Model 3 were produced in the fourth quarter, but almost a thousand copies of this model remained in the Tesla warehouses. Apparently, the brand continues to struggle with a huge amount of marriage, and this is not what Elon Mask promised to investors and buyers when he said that by the end of 2017 the brand will produce at least 5,000 copies a week.
At the end of the year, Tesla increased production of cars by 33%, sending 101 312 cars to customers, but analysts are sure that this is not enough, and if the plan does not work, then Tesla bankruptcy can be expected in the second half of this year.
Earlier we reported that the real maximum speed of the Tesla Model 3 was higher than the stated speed.
