The American manufacturer of electric cars spoke about its own tests in the Crash Lab at a plant in Fremont
Tesla Motors has published a video with a story about its own system of crash tests of electric cars. A record with strength tests conducted in the Crash Lab secret laboratory appeared on the Internet for the first time.
The Crash Lab branch is located at the main electric vehicle manufacturer in Fremont, California. A group of engineers conducts a series of complex tests before giving cars for crash tests to independent organizations.
Tesla cars are considered one of the safest in the world. For example, the “younger” Model 3 electric car received the highest rating in all categories according to the results of crash tests of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), which also noted the lowest risk of injuries to passengers during an accident.
In addition, the same model was awarded five stars out of five possible from the European organization Euro NCAP, whose experts noted that the small electric car “set new standards in security technology.”
