Tesla electric car has been blamed for the death of a manOctober 25, 2019
Electric cars are still unpredictable in the real world. Tesla Model S was accused of killing a man in a fire.
About it reports Bloomberg. About a year ago, the owner of the Model S, Omar Avan, crashed into a tree because of a loss of control. As is often the case with electric vehicles, the battery has caught fire.
One of the most striking design elements of Tesla models is the spectacular door handles that appear when the owner is identified with the key.
The electric car, which in such a situation, of course, was in emergency mode, did not let the firemen into the cabin. The car just could not be opened, and the “hidden” door handles can not stand. The driver died from asphyxiation and burns, now his family has filed a lawsuit against Tesla.
Forensic experts noted that the driver suffered no injuries when struck. Therefore, if he were not suffocated inside the car, he would probably have survived.
Apparently, the carmaker will have to make changes to its electric car design if Tesla is held accountable.
