Tesla Cybertruck electric pickup prototype spotted in New YorkMay 9, 2021
The battery-powered pickup will be shown in New York while Elon Musk is in town, filming Saturday Night Live (SNL). The electric pickup will be located at a showroom in Manhattan.
An early prototype of the Cybertruck appeared in New York. The electric pickup, put on public display at the Tesla dealership, was fenced. So it will not work to see the sensational electric car from the closest possible distance.
The first acquaintance with this prototype took place back in 2019: the presentation was held by Elon Musk himself. Later, Tesla Cybertruck visited California, Los Angeles, attended a number of events, and the last time he appeared at the site of the brand’s plant under construction in Texas.
And in New York, an international auto show will start very soon, and Tesla will open it. So, most likely, the electric pickup will be delayed in this city.
Recall that Tesla Cybertruck immediately impressed fans of the brand with a simple and very straightforward body shape.
Someone liked this asceticism in details and forms, while others actively criticized such a stingy design approach. The body panels of the electric car are made of a special grade of stainless steel, and it also got bulletproof glass. The pickup will reach the assembly line in 2022. However, more optimistic auto experts call a different date – the end of 2021. In the meantime, Tesla boasts six-figure bookings for its electric pickup.
Earlier, AutoTImesNews said that Tesla increased the cost of Model 3 and Model Y. Moreover, this increase was far from the first for electric cars of this American automaker this year.
