Tesla can produce over 250,000 Cybertrucks every yearSeptember 26, 2020
The plans are very ambitious, but quite realistic. The same pickups Ford F-Series at the end of last year almost reached the 900,000 mark.
The fact that Tesla will be able to produce from 250,000 to 300,000 Cybertruck electric pickups every year, said the head of the company Elon Musk as part of Tesla Battery Day. However, he noted that this figure may be higher.
The manufacturer of electric cars today is very actively collecting pre-orders for a new product: their number, according to media reports, has exceeded 500 thousand. However, it is difficult to predict what will happen to the real demand for the novelty.
The same Tesla Model 3 in the home market has never crossed the 200,000 mark a year. As for the production of Tesla Cybertruck, it should begin next year. The production of electric pickups will not reach maximum figures immediately: by 2022 or even 2023.
Auto experts do not rule out that Cybertruck can show sales of 250,000+, provided that Tesla owns 10-20% of the market share.
Tesla previously said it plans to create another pickup model. However, unlike Cybertruck, it will not be so big. The new pickup will be intended for other markets, but will not be sold in America.
