Tata Blackbird – a new render of a compact SUVAugust 20, 2019
The Indian auto giant is going to bring to the market a new compact SUV. He will become a new competitor for models such as Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos and Nissan Kicks in India. Now new preliminary images have appeared.
Earlier, information appeared on the Web about the desire of the Indian concern TATA to release a new crossover. A compact model, so far known under the code name Blackbird, is currently under development. According to preliminary information, platforms from existing Tata Alfa and Omega are not suitable for new items. Therefore, the company may release under its own brand the reformed Chery Tiggo 5X.
In addition to the new nameplate, Chery Tiggo 5X for India may receive small changes in design and functionality. Although official photos and details about the Tata Blackbird have not yet been disclosed, recent renders demonstrate a possible design.
As a power unit, a 1.2-liter turbo engine can be used. A version with a 1.5-liter turbodiesel may also be available. Hybrid and fully electric versions may appear later.
Independent designers suggest that the new product will receive a design in the new corporate style Impact 2.0 Design. It is worth noting that the Indian crossover looks modern, and is ready to enter the international market.
