Tata Altroz is preparing to enter the world marketJanuary 22, 2020
Tata introduced the production version of the compact Altroz in the home market.
In the context of “a little relevant and at the same time a little interesting,” we look again at Tata Altroz. A small hatchback was already shown to the general public in Geneva last year, and now it’s time for the model to conquer India. Representatives of Tata are very worried about their new product, because the predecessor of Altroz, Bolt, could not break sales records. Perhaps with clearer lines, Altroz can do it.
Of course, it’s not accepted to argue about tastes, but the model really looks much better. In addition, the newcomer is working on the new Tata modular ALFA platform, on which the brand’s lightest and most compact models will be based.
In terms of price, Altroz and Bolt are about the same: in India, for a five-door hatchback, the Tata asks for a minimum of 6,700 euros. For this money, customers will receive Altroz in the base version of the XE with a 1.2-liter three-cylinder petrol aspirated with a capacity of 86 hp. under the hood.
For fans of faster subcompacts, there is a version with a 1.2-liter turbo-frameless engine, as well as a 1.5-liter four-cylinder turbodiesel with 90 hp. worth 8 856 euros
