Take a look at the one of a kind Mercedes-Benz 300SL SpeedsterJanuary 20, 2021
The Mercedes-Benz 300SL coupe is a cult model. It was the first sports car of the post-war period. One such copy was turned into a unique restomod.
This bold project began with the bare body of a Mercedes-Benz 300SL Roadster, which was then installed on a 2002 Mercedes SLK chassis. At the same time, the creators of the restomod were inspired by the iconic Porsche Speedster. And not only ideologically – the restomod received a windshield from this sports car.
The body panels were custom made with fiberglass chosen for their fabrication. The wheels are also non-standard here. There are widened fenders behind the front pair of tires, and the car also got large cutouts to accommodate the exhaust pipes and air suspension.
The interior of the car was finished with red leather, which contrasts with the restrained shade of the body.
The restomod is driven by a supercharged V6 engine from AMG. It can be seen through the neat cutout in the hood.
Earlier, a unique Mercedes-Benz Unimog U500 travel pickup was put up for sale. There is practically nothing of the production car in this car. This modification should help travelers even in the most difficult conditions.
