Suzuki will launch the five-door Suzuki JimnyOctober 9, 2020
This is reported by the Indian media.
According to data published by the Indian media, Maruti Suzuki will launch an extended version of the legendary Jimny SUV on the local market. It is reported that the company was forced to take this step after the overwhelming success of the Jeep Wrangler copy – the Mahindra Thar model.
Interestingly, there are currently no full-fledged SUVs in the Suzuki lineup for the Indian market, and at this time the aforementioned Thar is aiming to become the leader in this segment. Until 2017, the Japanese were selling outdated Suzuki Gypsy in India, for which they still have not found a replacement.
Previously, photos of an elongated version of Jimny appeared on the network, and according to the latest data, the production of such a model may begin in the near future. If such an SUV appears, then due to its price and performance, it may well become the most popular model of the segment in India.
