Suzuki will celebrate its 100th anniversary with a special series of GSX-R1000R sports bikesSeptember 9, 2020
Suzuki has announced the release of a limited series sports bike GSX-R1000R.
This was reported by the company’s press service. The novelty will go on sale in Europe in October.
The flagship superbike will have a special blue-silver color, which pays tribute to the racing motorcycles Suzuki 60’s.
The GSX-R has won races in the UK, US and Australia, the Senior TT in the Isle of Man, and most recently won three victories at the Silverstone British Superbike.
The novelty will receive a powerful engine with a system of changing the timing and a complete set of electronic “assistants”, including ABS and traction and launch control systems.
2020 marks the 100th anniversary of the founding of Suzuki Loom Manufacturing Co. The company began production of motorcycles in 1952 with the launch of the Power Free model, and two years later changed its name to Suzuki Motor Co.
For more than half a century of motorcycle production, the company has given life to many iconic models, such as GSX-R750F, GSX-R1000 K1, GT750, GSX1100S Katana, RGV250, not to mention the legendary Bandit and Hayabusa.
