Suzuki recently released the 1.4 Boosterjet with soft hybrid technology and installed it in the Suzuki Swift Sport. Next in line are Vitara and S-Cross.
News about the introduction of the 1.4 Boosterjet unit with soft hybrid technology, which, as it became known, was intended for the Suzuki Swift Sport, Vitara and S-Cross models, appeared in December last year. Swift Sport was the first to get this turbo engine, and now Suzuki reports that Vitara and S-Cross will receive it on July 1 along with upgraded standard equipment. Prices will be announced a little later.
Thus, a reinforced 1.4-liter turbo engine with 140 hp. Vitara and S-Cross will be replaced by an engine with mild-hybrid technology. In addition, the 1.4 Boosterjet engine with a capacity of 129 hp will now be installed under the hood. in combination with a 48 V system and a 14 hp starter generator The maximum torque increased by 5 Nm relative to the previous 235 Nm. The weight of S-Cross and Vitara is increased by 15 kg to 1155 and 1140 kg, respectively.
The remaining changes relate to the standard equipment of the duo, which along with a powerful engine now includes adaptive cruise control, climate control, DAB + radio, automatic wipers and LED headlights. In addition, Suzuki Pro’s security system is now standard on all mild-hybrid versions. This package contains a large number of passive and active security systems, including blind spot detection, lane departure warning, traffic sign recognition and rear cross-traffic warning. AllGrip is not standard.
