Suzuki is preparing a five-door modification of JimnyMarch 30, 2020
The car will retain the overall style, but it will become somewhat larger and more comfortable. Suzuki believes that the new product will be able to compete with the world’s best sellers.
Suzuki is preparing a new modification of the Jimny SUV. In 2018, the legendary SUV received a new generation after 20 years. At the same time, for fans of the brand, the car decided not to radically change. He also retained the angular shape and did not receive a premium interior. Now Suzuki plans to launch the Jimny model at one of the leading car markets for itself – Indian.
Moreover, according to media reports close to the manufacturer, the car may appear in two variations at once. The new Jimny will be assembled at the Maruti Suzuki plant in the Indian city of Gujarat. At the same time, three-door models will be intended for export.
Production at a technology plant in India will allow the production of large volumes, and the cost will be significantly lower than with production at a plant in Japan.
However, information about the appearance of the Suzuki Jimny with five doors became much more interesting. The company’s management is confident that such a modification will be able to lure some buyers from the Korean Hyundai Creta, which is the best seller in the segment of compact crossovers. Part of the five-door Suzuki Jimny will be intended for export to other countries.
