Suzuki announces new V-STROM 1050 and V-STROM 1050XTNovember 11, 2019
Motorcycles were shown at EICMA, which closed last weekend. They will go on sale in the European and American markets at the beginning of 2020.
The new Suzuki V-STROM 1050 and V-STROM 1050XT are equipped with an engine of 1037 cc. see. Maximum power is 79 kW at 8500 rpm. Torque – 100 Nm at 6000 rpm. The motor complies with Euro5 emission standards.
The Suzuki V-STROM 1050 and V-STROM 1050XT come with an SIRS electronic control system that supports various driving modes.
The design refers to the Suzuki DR750S motorcycle, which was released in 1988, but the V-STROM 1050 and V-STROM 1050XT were made in a more modern style. The height of the windshield is adjustable, an aluminum steering wheel is included in the list of standard equipment.
Motorcycles are equipped with cruise control with a function of holding on a hill, as well as brake control technology depending on speed and load. There are LED direction indicators, seat height adjustment and a 12 V socket, which are now standard equipment.
There is a special color scheme, “Heritage Special,” released in honor of the motorcycle that participated in the Paris-Dakar rally in 1988. It combines red, white and black colors.
