Volkswagen has tested a super-power T-Roc crossover modification at the Nurburgring. The video was posted on the Automotive Mike YouTube channel. The car will receive the prefix R in the title and will be presented next year.
According to Motor1, the car will be equipped with a 2.0-liter gasoline engine with four cylinders. The same unit is equipped with a Golf R. Motor power will be more than 300 horsepower. Also, the crossover will receive a system of all-wheel drive and reconfigured suspension.
As for the design, then the changes will be minimal. On the video of the car is hidden under camouflage, but now we can say that the car will be equipped with different optics and a sports exhaust system.
The official premiere of the standard version of the compact crossover T-Roc was held at the Frankfurt Motor Show last year. The basic version of the car received a three-cylinder engine with a volume of one liter, working in tandem with a six-speed manual. In addition, the gasoline line included a 1.5-liter turbo engine with a power of 150 hp, combined with the manual or a seven-speed robotized transmission with two clutches. This version is available with both front and all-wheel drive. The top version received a 190-horsepower two-liter unit, a robotic transmission and all-wheel drive.
The diesel range is represented by a 1.6-liter 115-horsepower engine, working together with the manual transmission. In addition, the crossover will be offered with a two-liter engine, available in two options forcing – 150 and 190 horsepower. The first option is able to work both with a manual gearbox and with a robotized transmission, and the second one – only with a robotic transmission.
