Motorists of China will be able to test the novelty very soon. The crossover will fall into the hands of buyers on April 25th.
Volkswagen dealers in China have received the first copies of the Tayron GTE crossover with a rechargeable hybrid. With such a power plant, the SUV consumes only two liters for every hundred kilometers. The length of the car reaches 4,590 mm with a wheelbase of 2,731 mm.
The hybrid includes a 1.4-liter TSI, an electric engine and a set of high-performance batteries. With it, on the same electricity, the Tayron GTE will travel about 50 kilometers.
The standard Tayron is equipped with one of two turbo engines: a 1.4-liter 150-horsepower and a two-liter 186-horsepower. They are combined with a 7-speed “robot”, the type of drive can be front or full. For the convenience of the driver, a new dashboard with a 10.3-inch display is provided in the new interior. The cross is also equipped with multimedia with a large touchscreen, all-round cameras, LED optics, etc.
For a surcharge, the car will be equipped with adaptive cruise control, an assistant monitoring the “blind” zones, and other useful driver’s assistants. Prices for an economical hybrid will become known closer to the start of sales. The usual crossover in the “heavenly” car market costs from 188,800 yuan
