Subaru will show the new Outback April 17 in New YorkApril 11, 2019
At the moment, the company has not voiced any details, so we will have to wait a little longer. In the meantime, we have only one teaser. Changes in the engine line will occur, and will likely be in line with the current Subaru Legacy.
As experts noted, the cross-universal Subaru Outback has not changed for quite some time. The model is still in demand, although the design is already obsolete. And only now the company has officially confirmed the information that it is going to release a new generation. The press service published the first teaser of the model, on which you can consider several details.
In the photo you can see the running lights integrated into the LED bumper, part of the new front optics, side mirrors, off-road gray plastic kit, as well as massive roof rails. Apparently, any significant changes in the exterior, and even in the interior, will not happen. If you start from the new Legacy, the most significant change in the cabin will be a multimedia system with a 11.6-inch display.
Under the hood, most likely, there will be a 2.5-liter “aspirated” with 180 power and 239 Nm of torque, or a 2.4-liter turbo engine with up to 260 horsepower and 376 Nm of torque. Both versions will receive a non-alternative CVT with all-wheel drive.
The debut of new items should be held next week at the New York Automobile Salon, which opens on April 17, 2019.
