Subaru will present in Tokyo station wagon Levorg STI SportJanuary 11, 2020
Station wagon Subaru Levorg STI Sport received an update last year, and now the company will show the next generation car at the Tokyo Motor Show.
Most of the details remain unrevealed, but we know that the standard Levorg is based on the Subaru Global platform, opened in 2017 with Impreza. While we have no information on performance, the former Levorg STI Sport offers 296 horsepower from a 2-liter turbocharged gasoline engine.
When Subaru showed the Levorg prototype, company representatives talked about a newly created 1.8-liter turbocharged engine with direct injection and gentle combustion technology.
As with the base Levorg, which debuted at the Tokyo Motor Show in October 2018, all STI Sport windows are hidden behind camouflage. Perhaps this is a sign that Subaru is not going to open the interior yet, but we know that the new station wagon has the next generation EyeSight company with an improved stereo camera offering a wider viewing angle. Such a system works with four radars that are mounted in the front and rear bumpers to offer an improved range for the braking system before a collision.
The Levorg standard will be sold in Japan in the second half of 2020, and there is a possibility that the STI Sport may follow in 2021.
