It will be possible to order the second generation station wagon on the home market of the brand in August. In the meantime, Subaru is gradually declassifying the new Levorg.

Subaru Levorg has been produced since 2014. Last fall, the brand showed the concept of a station wagon of the second generation. Such a car is based on the modular SGP (Subaru Global Platform) platform – the latest models of the brand receive it.

After the debut of the concept Levorg, spy shots of test prototypes began to appear on the Web. Now on the Japanese website of the brand for the new station wagon have created their own page. There is even a snapshot of the “second” Levorg, though from only one angle.

From this image, the production car is not much different from the concept car. Local dealers will start filing applications for the new product on August 20.

Under the hood, new items are expected to see a 1.8-liter 4-cylinder turbo engine producing 200 hp. Obviously, they will pair him with the Lineartronic proprietary CVT. But the drive already in the basic versions will be complete.

In the local media, you can find data on the dimensions of the new Levorg: its length with the change of generation has increased by 65 mm to 4,755 mm, width – by 15 mm to 1,795 mm, height – by 5 mm to 1,480 mm, and the distance between the axles has increased by 20 mm – up to 2 670 mm.

It is also known that for the next Subaru Levorg they prepared a modern complex of EyeSight security systems. In addition, the manufacturer has improved the adaptive cruise control. Now, thanks to the information received from the satellite, the system will be able to recognize roads and brake the car in the place where it is needed.

Immediately after the standard Levorg, the Japanese will present a commercial version of the “hot” modification STI Sport, the prototype of which was presented in early 2020.

Earlier it became known that the new Subaru crossover will be called Evoltis. The Japanese specialized media are sure of this. It will be an electric car, which will involve Toyota specialists. The appearance of the announced novelty from Subaru will have to wait until next year.
