Subaru Levorg gets a sports version of the V-SportNovember 11, 2019
Subaru is not yet ready to release the current generation Levorg, despite the fact that a completely new model was announced last month at the Tokyo Motor Show.
In fact, the automaker announced a special model Levorg 2.0GT Eyesight V-Sport, which offers improved design and equipment. Available exclusively in the Japanese market, it will arrive at dealerships on January 23, 2020. The novelty is based on the 2.0GT-S EyeSight class, which means that it is equipped with a turbocharged 2.0-liter Boxer engine developing 300 hp. and torque of 400 Nm.
As the name implies, the Levorg 2.0GT Eyesight V-Sport comes with EyeSight Safety Plus, a set of driving assistance systems that includes high beam support and rear-facing vehicle detection. However, the most noticeable improvements relate to the design of the V-Sport model, which is equipped with black 18-inch aluminum wheels, mirror caps, as well as the inscription Levorg and the logo “Symmetrical AWD” on the back.
Inside, the Levorg special edition is equipped with front seats with fabric upholstery, a leather-wrapped steering wheel with silver stitching and black keys with chrome trim. As in the standard version, it is equipped with Bilstein shock absorbers, ventilated disc brakes and 225/45 R18 tires.
Prices for the Subaru Levorg 2.0GT Eyesight V-Sport start at 3,150,000 yen. Those who would prefer the next generation Levorg will have to wait a bit, as it will be launched in Japan in the second half of 2020. The model will be based on the global Subaru platform and will debut with the all-new 1.8-liter engine, as well as the next-generation EyeSight safety technology.
