Subaru launched sales of the updated Forester in JapanAugust 19, 2021
On August 19, Subaru launched live sales of the updated version of the fifth-generation Subaru Forester (SK) crossover in the Japanese domestic market. The car was priced from 2,937,000 yen.
According to speedme.ru, the presentation of the restyled version took place on June 14. The exterior design of the Forester has been refreshed with a different design of the front part. The front bumper group has been replaced: the radiator grille has increased in area, the LED headlights have become more complex in configuration. The design of the branded rims has become more expressive.
Also, the crossover was endowed with more sporty chassis settings. On vehicles with a hybrid installation, the e-active shift control system has been introduced, and the efficiency of the EyeSight semi-autopilot has been improved. By expanding the detection angle of the stereo camera, it is now possible to track obstacles in sharp turns.
The range of engines for the Japanese market remains the same: you can choose between a 2.0-liter gasoline “aspirated” with a return of 145 hp. and 188 Nm, as well as a 1.8-liter turbo engine with 177 hp. and 300 Nm. In both cases, an opposed engine layout is used. All Foresters are equipped with a stepless variator and permanent all-wheel drive.
With a junior engine, the car starts at 2,937,000 yen, the older one is offered in one fixed Sport configuration for 3,330,000 yen.
