Opposite engine power increased to 354 hp
Subaru South African office presented a limited edition WRX STi, dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the model. Thanks to the rewritten maps of ignition and fuel supply, as well as the installation of a new exhaust sedan has become the most powerful STi-machine ever presented in the region.
The Subaru WRX STi Diamond Edition 2.5-liter turbocharged opposite engine produces 354 horsepower and 464 Nm of torque – by 54 hp and 57 Nm of torque more than the base car. However, in terms of power, the South African version could not surpass the Japanese WRX STi TC380 (380 hp) and the British Impreza STI CS400 (400 hp and 515 Nm of torque).
According to the manufacturer, the “charged” sedan accelerates to 100 km/h by 0.7 seconds faster than the usual WRX STi – in five seconds exactly. Exercise 0-160 kilometers per hour Diamond Edition performs in 13.7 seconds (a conventional car does not require 14.76 seconds).
The equipment of the WRX STi includes a new strut, Brembo brakes with six-piston calipers in the front and two-piston rear, wheel spacers, increasing the gauge by 20 millimeters, 19-inch darkened wheels. The cabin has a seven-speaker Harmon Kardon audio system and a “multimedia” with support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
The first deliveries of the Subaru WRX STi Diamond Edition are scheduled for January next year. The total edition of the special version will not exceed 30 copies.
