Students will create electric buggies for HyundaiFebruary 13, 2018
The company Hyundai has published the first images of the concept electric buggy, which was developed by the specialists of the European design center of the brand together with the students of the European Institute of Design in Turin (IED). The premiere of the Novikov will take place in early March at the Geneva Motor Show.
15 IED students from China, India, Italy, Mexico, Great Britain and South Korea participated in the creation of the experimental car. According to the developers, the main task was “to rethink the idea of a traditional car.”
The overall length of the concept is 3745 mm, width – 2235 mm, and height – 1455 mm. The wheelbase is 2580 millimeters in size. A two-seater car will not have a roof, doors and a windshield. Specifications are not yet called. So far we only know that the buggy will be driven by a single electric motor.
At the Geneva Motor Show, Hyundai will also show a fully electric modification of the compact crossover Kona. Without recharging the batteries, the novelty will be able to travel up to 470 kilometers. Plus, on the motor show debuts new Santa Fe SUV new generation.
