Strange recyclable sports car intends to overtake Dodge ViperJuly 9, 2020
A unique sports car, which was swayed by the achievement of the American muscle car, was developed by American students.
American students, together with a car engineer from Genius Garage workshop Casey Putsch, developed a sports car that has every chance of overtaking the legendary Dodge Viper. Omega Car, according to its creators, has a number of advantages by which it has already beaten a muscle car – aerodynamics, economy and cheapness.
The car is driven by a 2-liter diesel engine from Volkswagen Beetle, which students plan to finalize, after the Omega Car will accelerate from standstill to 100 km / h in less than 4 seconds. A stock Dodge Viper with a 450-horsepower V10 spends 4.0 seconds on the same exercise.
In addition, the sports car engine is planned to be modified so that its consumption in urban mode does not exceed 2.5 liters of fuel per 100 kilometers. After the completion of work and measurements, Omega Car will go on a tour of the United States, which will be a test of its reliability.
