Started mass production of the crossover SEAT TarracoOctober 21, 2018
Reducing the cost of production SEAT Tarraco, and a significant improvement in the quality of the assembly – this is all that the plant in Wolfsburg (Germany) can provide.
About a week ago, the press service of the automaker SEAT announced the addition of another model to the assembly lines of its plant in the city of Martorell (Spain). This car turned out to be the German premium Audi A1 hatchback of a new generation – it will be assembled together with the SEAT Ibiza hatchback and the SEAT Arona crossover.
Now, the company announced the start of mass production of 7-seater crossover SEAT Tarraco. Here only the assembly of this car will be adjusted at the main enterprise of the Volkswagen brand in Wolfsburg (Germany).
This is already the second model of the Spanish automaker, which will be assembled at a German plant – back in 1998, the city car was going to the same enterprise SEAT Arosa. The Spanish crossover is built on the MQB modular platform, and the German Volkswagen Tiguan and Touran crossovers.
“The SEAT Tarraco crossover was fully developed by our engineers in Spain,” – commented Matthias Rabbe, vice president of research and development at SEAT. “The car and the company in Wolfsburg are already prepared for mass production, and we were able to cope with this in a short time. This step will further strengthen the close ties between SEAT and Volkswagen. ”
Finally, we note that the Spanish company SEAT is part of the German automobile concern Volkswagen AG.
