Volkswagen announced the start of accepting orders for the updated Tiguan crossover, the presentation of which took place on July 2. The first to place an order for the new product will be the inhabitants of the European continent. First, customers will be asked to apply for one of the three car modifications, and later this list will be expanded.
The basic version will be a car with a 1.5-liter gasoline turbo engine with a capacity of 130 horsepower. Such a power plant will be combined exclusively with 6 manual transmissions. A more advanced version of the Tiguan will receive a TSI petrol engine with a return of 150 hp, which works in tandem with a 6-speed manual transmission or a proprietary 7-speed “robot” DSG.
At the first stage of registration of applications, a diesel modification will be available – a 2.0-liter TDI engine is used as a motor, capable of developing a capacity of 150 horsepower. The “engine” works in combination with a robotic DSG gearbox and the proprietary 4Motion all-wheel drive.
In Germany, the cost of the most affordable version of the Volkswagen Tiguan is 28 205 euros.
Meanwhile, the demand for a new Volkswagen Nivus crossover in Brazil exceeded all expectations. Already in the first hours after the announcement of the value, more than 1,000 orders for the new product were issued.
