Volkswagen has announced the start of taking orders for its new ID.3 electric hatchback. This model is one of the key ones for Volkswagen at the moment, so its sales were postponed so that customers could get cars without problem spots. Recall that the Volkswagen ID.3 is an alternative to the legendary Golf model, but was originally made on an electric platform.
The ID.3 also made its debut in the auto ID line in the market. The first customers in the UK should receive a Volkswagen ID.3 in September this year. The First Edition is a limited edition and will sell for 38,880 pounds sterling.
An advance payment of £ 750 is required to complete the application. The range of such a car will be about 420 kilometers without additional charging. The remaining versions of the Volkswagen ID.3 will appear at dealers in the fall – the new product will be available in 7 different trim levels.
There will also be three options for battery capacity, designed for different power reserve.
It was the batteries that Volkswagen paid great attention to – the manufacturer guarantees that after 8 years of operation, the battery will retain at least 70% of its original capacity.
Previously, Volkswagen talked about testing its new charging station for electric cars. The facility is located in the United States and operates in difficult climatic conditions. The composition includes fast charging devices, as well as those designed for a household power grid.
