SsangYong Rexton DKR, which has a rear-engine layout, is equipped with an eight-cylinder unit, developing 450 horsepower. The engine is paired with a six-speed sequential racing transmission. The SUV is able to accelerate from zero to 100 km / h in 4.4 seconds, and its maximum speed is 195 km per hour.
The rally car got a suspension on double levers, King shock absorbers, King brake mechanisms and 17-inch Yokohama Geolandar tires.
The car will be driven by a Spanish crew – pilot Oscar Fuertes and his co-driver Diego Vallejo. These same riders competed in the past seasons of the Dakar in the previous SsangYong rally car, created on the basis of Tivoli.
