Spy shots: updated charged wagon Audi S4 AvantApril 5, 2019
Foreign publications have published “spy” shots of the Audi S4 – “charged” performance model. Being positioned in the A4 family between the A4 itself and the most powerful RS4, S4 can rightly be called the “golden mean” – this car is both moderately powerful and comfortable.
We really appreciate the S4 for the same reason that we love cars like the Subaru WRX or the Mustang GT – you don’t have to spend a lot of money on a model with the highest technical specifications to get the most out of their driving.
This S4 Avant looks quite similar to the current car, but all its elements have received a more aggressive design.
What makes these photos even better is the fact that this S4 Avant is a model in a station wagon. Like most Audi models, the changes in this car are evolutionary, not revolutionary. Perhaps better than anyone else, Audi makes a clear distinction between conservative and advanced design. The radiator grille, headlights and fog lamp housings are where most of the changes in the new product are. Even despite the strong camouflage, most updates can still be seen. Both the headlights and the fog light hulls look a bit bigger. The grille hole is about the same size, but the shape of the traditional Audi grille with a “one-sided hexagon” seems clearer, with sharper and narrower angles.
Currently, the Audi S4 is equipped with a 3.0-liter turbocharged V6, with a capacity of 354 hp. We expect that the novelty will receive the same engine.
