Sportcar Ligier shown on the next teaserOctober 3, 2018
The French company Ligier, formerly known as a manufacturer of racing cars and sports cars, has published another teaser of the new model, the release of which is timed to the 50th anniversary of the brand. The debut of the track car will take place at the Paris Motor Show.
Onroak Automotive, which owns the license to use the brand Ligier, will build the sports car. Previously it was assumed that this would be a heavily modified version of the Ford Mustang, but on the new image there is no resemblance to the mask.
According to preliminary information, the new Ligier will be equipped with a V6 engine of 3.7 liters. The impact of the unit, coupled with a six-speed sequential gearbox, will be 325 horsepower. In accordance with the technical regulations of the FIA mass of the sports car will not exceed 780 kilograms.
The history of Ligier began with the model JS2, which was produced from 1971 to 1977. At the heart of the machine with a fiberglass body lay a frame of extruded steel. The mid-engine sports car was equipped with a 2.7-liter engine from the Citroen SM, the return of which was first 170, and then 190 horsepower. Since 2008, Ligier has released citycars, electric cars and quadricycles.
