Special Range Rover Astronaut Edition is designed only for those who fly into spaceMay 10, 2019
If you spent $ 250,000 to buy a ticket for the Virgin Galactic spacecraft, you can purchase this luxury SUV. Car prices are currently not disclosed.
Land Rover “raises” the value of special editions of its production models to a new height, introducing an exclusive version of the Range Rover SUV, which is designed for a very specific segment of the consumer market. The version is called Astronaut Edition or “Astronaut Edition” and can be purchased only by those who have signed a contract according to which you can become members of the Virgin Galactic Future astronaut community.
This means that about 700 people around the world can get behind the wheel of a luxury SUV. I note that a ticket to a spacecraft costs $ 250,000.
Speaking of this, the Range Rover Astronaut Edition has a truly exclusive piece of design, taken directly from the front landing platform of a spacecraft used during the first space flight of the Virgin Space Unity at the end of last year. The detail was retuned to create two discs in the area on the center console where the cup holders are located.
Those who have the right to purchase Range Rover Astronaut Edition will have the opportunity to choose either a plug-in hybrid installation of the P400e, or a classic P525 supercharged. The first has an electrified 2.0-liter gasoline engine with a total capacity of 398 horsepower, while it uses a 5.0-liter V8 with 518 hp.
Not so long ago, we wrote that the Range Rover Evoque will be an electric car, but only in 2025.
