Special Ford Ranger 4×4 XLT double cab pickup arrives in AustraliaSeptember 10, 2020
A new modification of the popular Ford Ranger pickup truck was presented by the Australian division of the brand. Such a car gets a very multifunctional chassis with a double cab. These pickups are safer and better equipped for towing.
The new Ford Ranger 4 × 4 XLT pickup gets all-wheel drive, which is clear from the name, as well as standard 17-inch alloy wheels, a standard towbar assembly, etc.
The double cab pickup is powered by one of two available engines. The first is a two-liter, four-cylinder, twin-turbocharged model that debuted on the Ranger Raptor. Its output reaches 210 hp, and it is combined only with 10АКПП. An alternative option is a 5-cylinder 3.2-liter turbodiesel, working in tandem with a 6-speed manual transmission or with an automatic transmission with the same number of feet.
Among the safety systems that no Ford model can do without today are AEB with pedestrian detection, as well as a number of other branded assistants of the brand. Also, the novelty gets multimedia with an eight-inch touchscreen, supporting Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and standard satellite navigation.
According to Ford Australia and New Zealand executive director Andrew Birkich, the new Ranger will easily find a buyer. In this he will be helped by a high level of security, rich equipment and ample opportunities for upgrading – the installation of awnings, trays and so on. With a finished chassis, Ford customers can save time and money.
Prices for the new product range from 56,240 to 59,940 Australian dollars
In the meantime, photos of a Ford Bronco SUV in a powerful version of the Raptor hit the Web. This off-road modification will receive increased ground clearance and wider fenders. Details of the appearance of the novelty are hidden under dense camouflage.
