Spanish hatchback SEAT Ibiza regains its 1.5 turbo engineSeptember 1, 2020
The model received this power unit back in 2017. In tandem with him worked manual transmission for six steps. A year later, the Spaniards removed this engine from the list of available ones.
The SEAT Ibiza hatchback with a 1.5-liter turbo engine was tried for exactly a year, after which such a modification left the market. During the same period, Volkswagen found problems with this engine and it was in conjunction with the manual transmission. However, the true reasons for the refusal of the Spaniards from this engine were not reported then. Today, the specialized media reported that the missing one and a half liter “four” evo is returning, however, it will work together with a robotic gearbox.
The engine power is the previous 150 hp, and the hatch itself retains front-wheel drive. “Five-door” SEAT Ibiza accelerates to a hundred in 8.2 seconds, and its maximum speed reaches 219 km / h. Fuel consumption depends on the selected modification – from 5.6 to 6.4 for each 100 kph of the run. The production of the SEAT Ibiza with a 1.5-liter engine was taken up by an enterprise in Martorell. Such hatchbacks will enter the market this year.
These will be the top-end versions, which rely on the combined trim of the seats (the manufacturer combines leather and Alcantara), as well as modern multimedia.
In the meantime, the results of the moose test by the new Seat Leon have become known. Recall that the car took over a lot from the Mk8 VW Golf. But in terms of maneuverability and cornering, the Spanish version turned out to be much worse.
