Small minivan Toyota Roomy received GR version in JapanSeptember 21, 2020
Now this subcompact Japanese model boasts more aggressive looks.
The Toyota Roomy minivan, which today can only be purchased on the brand’s home market, has received access to the GR (Gazoo Racing) package. Recall that this model, tiny by the standards of minivans, is equipped with a liter engine and gets a drive of either two or four wheels. The cost of a car varies between 1,556,500 and 1,732,500 yen.
Toyota Roomy GR differs from the standard minivan by its “sporty” appearance with a very effective aerodynamic body kit. So, the car gets a new rear spoiler, grown side “skirts”, DRL on LEDs and a massive front apron.
At the same time, the minivan’s ground clearance became 15 mm lower. The changes also affected the radiator grille, fog lights, mud flaps, window visors, etc. The license plate frame is made of carbon fiber, and the GR nameplates complete the new image of the compact Roomy.
But the car interior, which can accommodate up to five people with relative comfort (it is still a bit cramped on the back sofa here), did not touch.
Among the basic options are declared: air conditioning, color TFT-display, power windows, audio system, multifunction steering wheel, safety assistants, etc. The automaker also took care of the storage system in the cabin.
In the meantime, new details about the large SUV Toyota Land Cruiser 300 have emerged. It is noteworthy that Toyota carefully conceals the appearance of their high-profile newest car and claims that none of the renders reflect the real picture.
