Skoda will return the Skoda Fabia station wagon to the lineupDecember 1, 2020
The next generation Skoda Fabia will be sold, among other things, as a Combi station wagon. The newcomer will join the family of popular Czech compacts during the new year.
Skoda is working on a new generation of Fabia. To date, the specs, debut date and pricing of the new Fabia are shrouded in mystery, as the compact hatchback has been seen solely disguised as a Volkswagen Polo until now. However, it is technically quite obvious what to expect from him, because he shares the basis with the already mentioned Volkswagen.
One of the most important uncertainties was whether the Fabia Combi variant would return. Now everything has become known: Skoda CEO Thomas Schaefer has confirmed on his LinkedIn page that this will indeed happen. And upon arrival, the new Fabia Combi will become a real monopolist, as it will completely “take over” the B-segment of station wagons.
The last remaining competitors are the Renault Clio Estate and the Logan MCV. Clio has already left some markets and the Logan MCV will end with the arrival of the new Sandero and Logan. Peugeot 207 SW and Seat Ibiza ST took an active part in this “game”. But, according to Skoda CEO Schaefer, the choice in favor of the Fabia Combi is obvious.
