Skoda company in four years will release a charged electric crossover, which will receive a prefix vRS in the name. About this, with reference to the head of the marketing department of the Czech brand Alain Feivi, the publication Autocar.
According to the top manager, the crossover will differ from the standard version of the model by sporting exterior and interior design, retuned chassis and steering. At the same time Feivi noted that the novelty does not have to be more powerful than an ordinary crossover.
The first serial electric car Skoda will appear in 2020. They will crossover, which will take place in the line in the middle of models Karoq and Kodiaq. The novelty will be built on a modular platform MEB, developed by Volkswagen especially for electric cars.
A prototype of this model was shown in September 2017 at the Frankfurt Motor Show. The concept Vision E was completed with two electric motors with a total capacity of 306 hp, which transmit traction to both axles. The maximum speed of the crossover was 180 km per hour. The stock of batteries is enough to drive about 500 kilometers.
