Skoda Vision GT Coupe debuted at the Shenzhen Auto ShowJune 2, 2019
On June 1, the international automobile exhibition in Shenzhen, China, opened its doors. Within the framework of the opened auto show, quite loud automobile debuts are planned. One of these new products is the cross-coupe Skoda Vision GT.
At the motor show, which opened in Shenzhen, they showed a new cross-coupe Vision GT from Skoda. The novelty is called the prototype of the serial Kamiq GT coupe-like crossover. It is known that such a car will receive a platform MQB, while the current version of the Chinese Skoda Kamiq is based on the PQ25 platform with a semi-dependent rear suspension. According to autoexpert forecasts, commercial versions of this model will be equipped with TSI 1.4 and two liters turbo engines. But their power is still kept secret.
For comparison, the old Skoda Kamiq is equipped with a 1.5-liter 110-strong “aspirated”, combined with a five-speed “mechanics” or automatic gearbox on six steps. Drive – no alternative front.
Skoda Vision GT and current Kamiq for China, which appeared on the Chinese market a year ago, cannot be called twin cars: one is completely different from the other. Different grille, optics, another line of glazing and proportions. For example, Vision GT gets a more sloping roof. It is expected that sales of the serial Skoda Kamiq GT will start at the end of this year. Prices for it are likely to be slightly higher than the standard Kamiq. In China for the most affordable Skoda Kamiq asking 109,900 yuan
