Skoda Scala Hatch are already on public roadsDecember 26, 2018
In Europe, the first production versions of test prototypes were observed without any camouflage. Cars are still undergoing tests, but will only be available next year.
The new Skoda Scala hatchback will officially enter the market only next year, but already now the first commercial vehicles have appeared on the streets of European cities. We are talking about the test machines, which were seen on the eve of the Czech Republic and Germany. The presentation of the car took place on December 7, and is positioned by the company as a replacement for the Rapid model.
Note that the model is built on a new modular MQB platform from Volkswagen, and the image of the car was used from the Vision RS concept shown earlier. The length of the car is 4,362 mm, which leaves quite a lot of space for the driver and passengers, and even there is space for luggage, for which 467 liters of luggage space are reserved.
As a power unit used line of gasoline turbo 1.0 and 1.5 liters, capable of developing up to 95 and 150 hp respectively. Also will be available liter turbodiesel with a capacity of up to 95 “horses.” Together with them will work six-speed manual or robotized gearbox in seven stages.
In the meantime, the Skoda Superb 2020 model year is preparing for its debut by passing tests on public roads.
