Skoda revealed the details of the design of electric carsMay 9, 2019
The features of Czech electric cars will be the LED strip dividing the grille. The first production version based on Citigo Citicars will be presented before the end of the year.
Already this year, Skoda will launch its first electric car. The model will be built on the basis of a compact hatchback and will have a cruising range of up to 300 km. However, the company has now decided to tell more about their own design ideas. All electric cars Skoda will be united by a single style, and the feature will be the LED strip, which will unite the head optics and divide the radiator grille into two parts. This was told by the head of the company Bernhard Meier.
In 2020, the company plans to launch its own electric crossover, based on the Vision iV concept. The prototype was presented in March 2019 at the Geneva Motor Show, and is built on the basis of the newest MEB platform from the VAG Group. This platform was created specifically for electric cars and has extensive scalability.
Unfortunately, information about Skoda serial electric cars is not available yet. The concept of the crossover was equipped with a 300-strong installation with two engines and had a range of up to 500 km.
By the end of 2022, the company plans to introduce 30 new and updated models on the market, 10 of which will receive some degree of electrification.
