Skoda offered Scala buyers to change the brand name to their own name
April 2, 2019The Czech brand has found an original way to personalize its new product – the Skoda Scala hatchback. In fact, it turned out that fans of the brand would not be able to use the tempting offer.
Many car owners use their own power to “personalize” their cars. The company Skoda decided to bring this desire for self-expression to a professional level. The brand offered its customers the original factory option, with which it would be possible to replace the inscription “Skoda” on a new Skoda Scala model with any word, for example, your own name.
Recall that for this model, the manufacturer decided to change the traditional logo on the tailgate with the letter designation of the brand. This has become a hallmark of the new hatch, along with the modular platform MQB-A0.
To make individual “logos” in the company are collected using 3D printing technology. In this case, in the case of resale cars, you can return the “native” inscription. To do this, the owner of the hatchback will be enough to contact the nearest dealership. The new option should have been placed in the model configurator on the company’s European website, but in fact it was not there. According to the automobile portal Za Rulem, the idea of renaming the Skoda Scala turned out to be an April Fool’s joke. Whether the Europeans appreciated the sense of humor of the Czech brand – one can only guess.
