Photos of the novelty appeared on the Web – a station wagon with the character of an SUV received a new look and modern technology.
The Czech company Skoda in 2020 prepared several high-profile new products at once. One of them was the Octavia Scout off-road station wagon. Photos of the car, as well as data on technical specifications, appeared on the web before the official premiere. Information on Monday, July 13, shared the publication PlanetCarsZ. Compared with the previous version, the car added 16 mm in length and 15 mm in width, due to which there was more space in the cabin, and the luggage compartment increased to 640 liters.
From the exterior, we note the appearance of new bumpers, as well as additional protective door sills and enlarged wheel arch extensions. On the roof of the car there was a place for roof rails. Of the new products, we also highlight window frames with silver accents and large 18-inch wheels. And as an option, you can purchase wheels with a diameter of 19 inches.
In general, the design of the car combines the character of an SUV and a stylish city car. The car interior receives a modern infotainment center with a diagonal of 10 inches and a touchscreen. On the front panel and door handles, decorative inserts can be seen. The engine range of the new Octavia Scout turned out to be very extensive and consists of 4 power units.
Customers will be able to purchase a car with a 1.5-liter TSI engine with a return of 150 hp, a 2.0-liter diesel engine capable of producing 115 hp, a powerful TDI EVO diesel engine, which with a working volume of 2.0- liter produces 200 hp
These power units will be combined with a manual gearbox. The fourth power plant will become a “soft” hybrid and will be paired with a 7-band “robot” DSG. There is no information on the timing of the model’s entry to the market.
