Skoda launches new Skoda Citigo iV and Superb iVNovember 25, 2019
The release of the first two models of the electrified sub-brand – Superb iV and Citigo iV – and the Skoda iV sub-brand open the era of electric mobility for the Czech manufacturer.
Electric mobility is a key element of the sustainable development strategy of the Yeshash brand GreenFuture, as well as part of Skoda DNA. By 2025, up to 25% of all supplied Skoda vehicles should be electrified, and the harmful emissions of the entire fleet should be reduced by 30% compared to 2015. After the launch of the Citigo iV and Superb iV, by the end of 2022 the range of the new Skoda iV brand will increase to more than 10 electrified models. Under the auspices of iV, the brand combines the development of its own family of electrified cars with an emotional design, futuristic interior and innovative technologies, as well as the creation of a special ecosystem for mobile solutions.

The low center of gravity resulting from the integration of the traction battery into the vehicle floor also contributes to the adaptive control of the Citigo V. A 36.8 kW / h lithium-ion battery, of which 32.3 kW / h is given for use by an electric motor, provides real mileage on a single charge of up to 260 km – this is enough to meet the requirements of urban traffic.

Depending on the situation and the selected driving mode, they provide the drive individually or in pairs and combine the advantages of an electric motor and an internal combustion engine. The electric motor has an output of 85 kW and, in combination with a lithium-ion battery, provides the Superb iV with an all-electric and, therefore, zero emission, range up to 62 km in the WLTP cycle.
