Skoda Kamiq GT coupe-crossover sales startedNovember 22, 2019
Car sales in China began today. A week ago, the manufacturer talked about the trim levels of the car.
Today, China announced the start of sales of the budget coupe-crossover Skoda Kamiq GT. Last week, we were told that the new product will receive four trim levels. They will be called Automatic Comfort, Automatic Ultimate, DSG Comfort and DSG Ultimate. Unlike the European version, the cross for the Celestial Empire is built on the cheaper PQ25 platform from Skoda Rapid. The length of the car is 4 409 mm with a wheelbase of 2 610 mm. Such indicators provide a fairly large space in the cabin. In two starting versions of Automatic Comfort and Automatic Ultimate, the car will receive a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated engine with 110 hp, which works in tandem with a 6-speed automatic transmission Aisin.
In the advanced configurations DSG Comfort and DSG Ultimate, a 1.2-liter turbo engine with a power of 116 hp, paired with a seven-band robot, is used as a power plant.
The drive in all trim levels is only front-wheel drive. It is worth noting that despite the positioning of the Kamiq GT as a budget car, it is well equipped in technical terms. Buyers have 6 airbags, a stabilization system, an advanced multimedia system, and in the maximum configuration, the interior has leather trim and a panoramic electric sunroof. The price tag for a new product in China starts at 125,900 yuan
