Skoda introduced the updated FabiaFebruary 8, 2018
The Skoda company introduced the restyling hatchback Fabia. According to the press service of the Czech brand, the premiere of the novelty will be held in March at the Geneva Motor Show. In Europe, car sales will begin in the second half of this year.
The car will receive a new LED optics, a slightly modified hood and 18-inch wheels. The Czech company has not yet published photos of the salon. However, the press service promised that the restyling hatchback will receive an updated dashboard, new seats and a 6.5-inch touchscreen display. Also, a modernized infotainment system with support for Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and MirrorLink will be available to the driver.
The engine’s range of new Skoda will include a 1.0-liter petrol engine. The engine will be offered in three power options – 60, 75 and 110 horsepower. Optionally, customers will be offered a seven-speed transmission.
Also, the company promised to add a number of new driver assistance systems to the car. So the updated Fabia will be equipped with the function of monitoring “blind” zones, an emergency braking system, a warning system for dangerous approach and a parking assistance function.
Also in the plans of Skoda to revive the compact hatch-hatch Fabia RS, which will receive a hybrid power unit. The car can appear not earlier than in two-three years – after occurrence of model of the following generation. As previously reported, in 2019-2020 Skoda company will actively use electrical technology in their cars.
