Skoda has published the first image of the interior of its new five-door Scala hatchback. The design of the car will be made in the style presented at the Paris Motor Show Vision RS. The machine will receive a large 10.3-inch touchscreen display for the devices and the new generation MIB infotainment system with support for MirrorLink, Apple CarPlay and a 9.2-inch screen.

Another innovation is the Skoda Connect kit with Google Earth maps, a remote machine control service from a smartphone and a set of applications for communicating with the phone. The software will be updated “by air” – through the cloud service. Upholstery options include various options, including a new microfiber coating. The luggage compartment will be 467 liters. With the rear seats folded, this figure will increase to 1,410 liters.

The car will be built on the platform A0 MQB. This chassis already forms the basis of a number of compact and mid-size cars from the new Volkswagen Polo to the Skoda Kodiaq crossover. The length of the machine will be 4 362 mm, and width – 1 793 mm. The size of the wheelbase is 2,649 mm.

One diesel and three petrol engines will enter into a ruler of motors of the car. Power units will be from 90 to 150 hp The 1.0, 1.5 l petrol units will work in conjunction with a five-speed automatic gearbox and manual with six speed. Optionally, customers will be offered a 7-speed robotic gearbox with double clutch. For a 1.6 liter diesel engine, a six-speed manual or robotized transmission is provided.

Skoda promises to present the five-door Scala hatchback on December 6 in Tel Aviv. In the model range of the Czech brand car will be a replacement for Rapid. Car prices will be announced later.
