The concept SUV is designed for the Indian market, where it will be presented on February 5 next year.
The Czech carmaker, with sketches, has announced the debut of a new SUV for India, which will be presented at Auto Expo 2020 in New Delhi (February 5–12, 2020). The 4.26 meter long car will belong to the class of compact crossovers, specially designed for the Indian market. The sketch gives a first impression of the interior of the concept car.
The images show a wide two-level dashboard that follows the symmetrical contours of the Skoda grille in the center. Orange color is widely used throughout the interior, for example, on the central armrest and door panels, mark the press service of the brand. The chrome-plated vents on the side also attract attention thanks to the thin louvers covering almost the entire width of the dashboard. The interior also boasts a large freestanding central screen and a virtual instrument panel.
The three-spoke multifunction steering wheel is equipped with buttons and adjustment wheels in accordance with the new Skoda steering concept. The reduced and clearly structured center console has a small control lever for gear selection.
Skoda Vision iN is the first vehicle based on the new localized subcompact platform MQB A0 IN, which also forms the basis for the different models of Skoda and Volkswagen. When developing the model, the Czech manufacturer clearly focused on satisfying the wishes and requirements of customers in the Indian market. As part of the INDIA 2.0 project, Skoda Auto now operates the Volkswagen Group brands in the region.
