Skoda has decided on the date of the debut of the elongated Octavia ProFebruary 6, 2021
Note that Skoda will change not only externally, but will also receive a minor interior upgrade.
Czech company Skoda is preparing to debut a longer version of the Octavia liftback, which will receive the Pro index. The world premiere of the car will take place in April this year at the Shanghai International Motor Show. The new car will be on sale in the summer of 2021.
The length of the Octavia Pro in comparison with the classic liftback has grown by 64 mm and is 4,753 mm, and the wheelbase reaches 2,730 mm – plus 44 mm. However, Skoda did not limit itself to simple stretching of the body – the new Octavia Pro will receive redesigned bumpers, a different shape of the navigation lights and new filling of the taillights. There will be minor changes in the cabin too.
As a power plant, the car receives a 1.4-liter turbo engine capable of delivering 150 hp. Such an engine works in tandem with a 7-band DSG “robot”.
The production of the model will be established at the joint venture SAIC-Volkswagen, which is located in China.
So long ago, Skoda announced the appearance of a completely new small crossover called Kushaq. It will be designed primarily for the Indian car market. Based on the prototypes, the first renderings have already appeared.
